The beginning of the Moomins and the story of the Great Flood

At the Moomin Museum, we will look back to the early days of the Moomins: the stories told by Tove Jansson about the birth of the Moomins, and the first Moomin story, Moomins and the Great Flood.

In the information sessions, we tell how Jansson, as a youngster, drew a strange-looking creature on the wall of a summer cottage hut, and what happened next.

In adventurous story telling sessions, we bring the first Moomin story alive and take listeners to its perhaps lesser-known world with original illustrations.

The Studio will focus on imagining and building your own Moomin houses. In a guided non-stop workshop, a whole valley full of different houses will be created – no two are the same!

Pick an adventure map and spend a fun day navigating from one Moomin point to another!
