The world’s only Moomin Museum presents a rare collection of Moomin art donated to Tampere Art Museum in 1986 by Tove Jansson. The collection was formerly part of Tampere Art Museum’s Moominvalley exhibit from 1987 to 2016 in the ground floor of the Metso Tampere City Library. In 2013, an abridged version was placed on display on the lower ground floor of Tampere Art Museum. New premises were built for the museum at Tampere Hall in 2017. The Moomin Museum celebrated inaugural opening on June 17, 2017.
