The Moomin museum is closed on 9.-20.9.2024 due to an exhibition change.
The museum is also closed on following days in 2024: 29.3., 1.5., 21.–23.6., 6.12. and 24.–26.12.2024.
The museum is exceptionally open only until 4pm on following days: 28.3., 30.4., 20.6., 5.12. and 31.12.2024.
Visit our workshop
The Moomin Museum’s Studio is open for museum visitors every day from noon to 4pm (occasionally closed due to private events). See more about the open workshops here.

0 €: under 7-year olds for free
7 €: students, pensioners, unemployed, conscripts, non-military conscripts
29 €: family ticket (2 adults and 2-4 children)
Free admission with the Museum Card
The Museum Card is a year-long entrance ticket to 360 museums in Finland. You can buy the Museum Card from the Tampere Hall ticket desk for yourself or as a gift. In 2024 a new card or renewal of an expired card is 79 €. Renewal of a valid card is 73 € in 2024. See more of the Museum Card here.
Free entry once a month
In 2024 there is free admission to the Moomin Museum on one Friday of a month (with some exceptions) for the whole day, ie. 10am-6pm. The dates are 12.1., 9.2., 8.3., 12.4., 14.6., 12.7., 9.8., 11.10., 8.11. and 13.12.2024.
There is also free admission on the International Museum Day, Saturday 18 May 2024.
Payment
In addition to payment cards and cash, at the Tampere Hall ticket desk you can use Smartum, E-passi, Edenred and Eazybreak for payment.
Giftcard to Moomin Museum
A giftcard purchased from Tampere Hall is valid also in the Moomin Museum and the Tampere Hall Shop. A giftcard purchased from the ticket desk can be used only at Tampere Hall and a gift card purchased earlier from the online service can be used only online.
